Snowball is a flavourful ideal choice if you have a smaller garden: the plants are dwarf and compact and can be set close together, and this variety is an ‘all season cauli’ for spring or autumn planting to give you two harvesting seasons. Price for 18 seeds
SOW: anytime between February and April for a late June to September harvest OR sow October with protection to harvest the following May/June. We start all our cauliflower seeds 15mm deep in pots or modules under cover to give them a good root system & then transplant.
GROW: transplant about 6 weeks after sowing to final position in firm ground, Snowball performs well close spaced at 25-30cm. Regular watering is essential; cauliflowers do not like to get dry. Cut the curds when they are tight and firm – don’t leave them on the plant too long.
EAT: raw or cooked.
