This is a beautiful French heirloom with a delicious flavour. The fruit is deeply scalloped, the flesh is a rich orange whilst the skin has a burnished sheen with mahogany tones. The vines can reach to 3m and can be trained Roasting or grilling will bring out the sweet flavour, you can also try these fresh by cutting very thin slices; they are a popular choice for puddings but also make superb soup or stews.
