Turning a bright yellow when ripe (and the curly tendril near the stem dries out) with very pale green flesh. This is very unusual variety: the flavour is delicate (sweet and slightly tangy) and the texture reminds me of a ripe pear. These are lovely: try drizzling with lemon or honey, steep with a little ginger or add them to a salad and dress with basil or coriander! Mmm mm mm
