This herbaceous perennial was once cultivated, particularly in Norfolk and Suffolk for use as a tea and for brewing ale! One of its alternative names is “soldiers tea”, it has a somewhat sharp, strong flavour and is reputed to be good if you have a cold. This should be considered more as a medicinal herb even though you can use it to flavour food. Perennial. Price for 50 seeds.
