TOMATO SCATALONE ~ awesome flavour & prolific, with a secret 12 seeds
SOW: seed depth 5mm, we start about 6-8 weeks before the last frost is expected sow in modules (cover or put on a windowsill), you can sow from February with warmth. Transplant to pots when large enough to handle and pot on until ready to harden off and plant after frost danger has passed.
GROW: plant in the greenhouse or in a sunny sheltered part of your garden. Scatolone, being indeterminate, can grow tall and will need supporting. It will bloom, set new fruit and ripen fruit all at the same time throughout the season. There is no need to pinch out the side shoots. These can be picked pink and stored in a carton to ripen, picking encourages yet more fruit
