Red Alert may have small salad sized fruits but they are big on flavour and produced in profusion. This is a versatile bush variety that grows happily in the garden, planted in a pot on the patio or in a greenhouse. It is a really good early season tomato choice and can crop in as little as 7-8 weeks from transplanting. Determinate

SOW: about 6-8 weeks before the last frost is expected sow in modules (cover or put on a windowsill). We transplant to pots when large enough to handle and grow on until ready to harden off and plant after frost danger has passed.
GROW: plant in a sunny sheltered part of your garden or in a pot. You can grow this in a greenhouse. For the best flavour keep soil evenly damp (don’t over-water or overfeed). Red Alert, being determinate, stops growing when fruit sets on the top bud. All the fruits ripen at about the same time (usually over period of 1- 2 weeks). This variety can be cropping 7-8 weeks after transplanting.
ENJOY: delicious.
