Rarely offered for sale this heirloom is a stunner. The skin is a dusty blue-green with paler stripes; the deep orange flesh is sweet and firm with excellent flavour. These fruit can reach towards 50cm in length, they will store until the spring and when you want to eat some simply cut off the slices you need and store the rest in the fridge. I love these grilled.
