A fabulous choice: these are a cipolini type onion but grow them as you would spring onions and enjoy the best of both worlds. Harvest them when they have just a hint of swelling for a sweet onion flavour, let them bulb to about golf ball size (cipolinis don’t get much larger than this) for salads or cooking or to make beautiful pink pickled onions. And these can be sown from March to September
