This variety is part of our naturally nurtured range, the seed comes from an organic source

SOW: in March & April (planting after last frost) and again from mid-August to early November.  Seed depth 5mm, sow in modules and plant out when young, OR sow in situ and use the thinnings in salads.

GROW: space 20-25cm apart.  As the autumn progresses growth is less vigorous, the later sowings will need the protection of cloches or grow in a greenhouse: they are cold hardy, but a deep & penetrating frost will finish them off.

EAT: pick as needed, cutting them off at the base of the stem to encourage regrowth.  All parts can be used in salads or cooked when more mature - stir-fry or braise to serve with a roast dinner
