Each crisphead of Tuscan Pesciatina is a whole lot of satisfying lettuce! The hearted heads can be green with red edging, ours grew mostly deep red with only a little green showing until sliced. Wonderful crunchy leaves that are generously sprinkled with bubbles, these help salad dressing to stay on!

The bubbly surface of the leaves is a feature of Pesciatina, you may see this phenomenon described as heavily blistered but, I am sure you will agree, bubbles is a much nicer way of describing this growth habit.
