Enjoy a sweet, fruity, almost smoky flavour with just a little heat and a strong aroma.  Biquinho Red can be really prolific, it is perfect for using in salads, sauces, casseroles, pizzas… pop them in whole for a burst of flavour.  These little fruits, with their a distinctive ‘beak’, reach 500-1000 SHU   Price for 10 seeds

SOW: indoors from March to end of May, in a warm soil barely covering the seeds as they need light to germinate.

GROW: when they reach the 2/3 leaf stage they can be planted into a greenhouse or hardened off and put outside in a warm sheltered spot.  You can grow them in the soil, in a container or in a grow bag.   Biquinho can take 4 months before the fruits start to ripen to bright red, happy plants are prolific until the first frosts.                                                      

EAT: ready to use in salads, sauces, casseroles, pizzas… pop them in whole for a burst of flavour.  These are also a good choice for pickling or freezing
