Customer ratings for Leaf Beet Erbette

I grow this alongside leaf spinach and Swiss chard. It is meatier than the spinach but with similar flavour, a great tasting veg. I find it less troublesome than spinach, less likely to bolt. Germination is not quite so good so put in a few extra seeds. It lasts all winter from an Autumn sowing. I am picking in March as it starts regrowing again. I will be sowing it this month in situ for summer cropping

If you find chard too "mineral" tasting, this is the plant for you. Lasts better than spinach in dry weather, more tender and sweet than chard - an excellent all rounder as veg and salad ingredient. Everyone should try this. You gats lots of value evenn from a coupple of plants.
