This attractive alpine strawberry produces delicious fruits from June onwards that are larger than wild berries. Sow the seeds in the autumn or spring, the plants will not produce runners, but may naturalise in partly shaded damp areas of your garden. Taste-test to determine ripeness so that you can familiarize yourself with the optimum harvest moment. Creamy white fruit, sweet and aromatic with, I think, a hint of pineapple. The fruit is among the largest white fruit produced by alpines. It is a vigorous grower to about 25cm tall but runnerless and well behaved. As with our other strawberries, these are perfect for small spaces and edging borders or veg beds. Price for 50 seeds. |

The plants are everbearing: they produce fruit whenever the weather pleases them so you can be picking at any time from May to the end of October.
