SOW: in pots or modules in warm conditions during April/May. First soak seeds in warm water for 24 hours before sowing – trust us, it works
GROW: plant at the 2/3 leaf stage under glass (only outdoors in the warmest summers & areas), pinch out the growing tips when 30cm tall to encourage bushy growth. They enjoy a general liquid feed. Harvest from August onwards, with a sharp knife while the seed pods are quite young. Regular picking encourages more growth.
EAT: good for soup, stew and curry; an integral part of Creole, Mediterranean and Indian cuisine. They will keep for up to 10 days in the fridge.
