Eschscholzia Mission Bells is a Californian Poppy: very pretty with lacy foliage below the delicate single blooms: this mix includes white, red, yellow and pink shades
Flowers July to September.
Height to 30cm
Annual
Price for 100 seeds
SOW & GROW: from mid-April onwards (late March in a mild area) where they are to flower, on open ground, barely covering the seeds. They like a well-drained site in a sunny position. They look lovely in the border or a more naturalised setting. Once they are in flower try to deadhead them as this will prolong flowering
USES:
WILDLIFE
- loved by bees & many other pollinating insects.
- Included by the RHS in their pollinators plant list
CUTTING
- They also make a very pretty, but short lasting, cut flower: if you sear the ends of the stems in boiling water then they will last a little longer (up to 5 days)
