Oriental Pak Choi Mei Qing Choi F1

£1.00

The flavour is excellent and it is really tender. The very pale green stems form a firm base for the broad, oval, rich green leaves above. At full size these vase shaped plants are just 20-25cm tall but they are perfectly fashioned at a smaller size and make charming baby veg. Price for 50 seeds

SOW & GROW: from April to September: although traditionally sown after the longest day this variety is happy growing in the summer and makes a good baby leaf at this time of the year.  Pak Choi is ideal as a follow on after other crops.  The last sowing can be 6 weeks before frost frosts are expected.  You can sow in modules and plant out when young, or sow in situ and use the thinnings in salads or replant them in cooler weather.  Space plants 10-15cm apart.  Protect from inclement autumn weather with cloches.

EAT: the flavour is excellent and it is really tender.  At full size these vase shaped plants are just 20-25cm tall but they are perfectly fashioned at a smaller size and make charming baby veg
