Protect them from pigeons!

These germinated beautifully - made lots of leaves and were just starting to bulb up when my allotment was attacked by pigeons who stripped all the leaves within the space of a morning. After that, I did cover them and they recovered somewhat but never got to the size I think they could have done. They tasted nice, even though they were quite small. Next year I will definitely grow these again, under netting. Pigeons ignored all the other crops on my allotment thankfully, but found these irresistable.
