EPAZOTE treat as Annual ~ widely used in traditional Mexican cooking it has a pungent flavour with minty overtones 50 seeds SOW: In plug or seed trays in spring. Cover with perlite or vermiculite and take care not to overwater. Harden off and transplant when large enough spacing at 25cm apart. GROW: Spring – sow Early Summer – transplant when the roots are well developed. Pick young leaves (older leaves become much less palatable) to use in cooking. It is pungent, use 4-5 leaves maximum – see note below Late Summer & Autumn – greenish flowers appear, pull up plants before they set seed (seed is green turning black) PLEASE NOTE: It is recommended that you only use this herb sparingly and do not use the seeds
