The first chillies can take 17 weeks from transplanting thus this variety needs an early start: sowing between January & mid-May is best. Keep indoors in a warm soil in trays or modules barely covering the seeds as they need light to germinate. Hot chillies like 25-30°C for the best germination, they can also be slow (allow 4-5 weeks), take care that the compost is not too moist.
