CHINESE CABBAGE GRANAT ~ lovely long green heads with crisp tasty leaves. 20 seeds SOW & GROW: from June to August: traditionally after the longest day. For cut-&-come-again sow the seeds directly in the soil ready after just 2-3 weeks. You can sow in modules and plant out when young for heads – ideal if sowing successionaly – they are very fast, heads are ready in 7-8 weeks Water these regularly, a little and often, as they are shallow rooted. They respond to liquid feeds, try seaweed or comfrey, but this is not essential. EAT: Use in salads, steam lightly or put in a stir fry – boiling does not suit them! Store them in a fridge for several weeks or a cool, frost-free place for 10-12 weeks but do check them regularly. We have not found them good for freezing.
