Broccoli raab Sessantina

After sowing you are looking at a growing time of 8-9 weeks (60 days but depending on the weather conditions this may be a little quicker or slower). If you cut the tops and leave the lower stems they may resprout for more cuts.  For a succession of Raab make several sowings.

Your first sowing can be undercover in late winter onwards, and without protection from April to September.  Try to avoid the hottest and driest part of the summer or, at this time of year, sow in part shade and keep watered.

The leaves, shoots and small florets can all be eaten.
