Aubergine Rosa de Bianca naturally nurtured seed

£0.60

Lovely flavoured Rosa De Bianca produces attractive globe shaped fruits with beautiful pink and white skin.  Price for 10 seeds

SOW: start aubergines in a warm spot or a propagator in early spring (March is ideal). Pot on when about 5cm high and keep in good light and warm at night. If you can provide winter warmth (15°C) you can sow in November and overwinter the young plants.

GROW: this variety is more reliable when grown in a greenhouse. They like high humidity; it can help to put water next to them if you can. Nip out the main stem when about 25cm high to encourage side shoots. Leave more fruits on the plant for mini aubergines or thin for larger (& in this case longer) fruits. When the fruits start to develop feed with a tomato fertiliser every 2 weeks, keeping the plants well-watered. Protect from frost in the autumn while the last fruits are finishing.

EAT: enjoy them sliced in half and grilled.
